Custom Circular Stage Solution for the Territoires Awards at Palais du Pharo

Nov 05, 2026

A Custom Stage for a Landmark Event in Marseille

A custom two-tier circular stage engineered by Jiangsu Shizhan Group was successfully installed at Palais du Pharo in Marseille, France, for the first Territoires Awards. Hosted by BFM La Tribune and broadcast by BFM Business, the ceremony recognized enterprises and entrepreneurs contributing to the economy, innovation and regional development of Southern France.

Set inside one of Marseille’s landmark venues, the project required more than a conventional rectangular platform. The stage needed to establish a strong visual identity for the ceremony, work effectively from multiple camera angles and support the practical movement of presenters, guests and award recipients.

The Project Challenge

Working within a historic indoor venue created a combination of spatial, visual and installation constraints. The stage geometry had to complement the large central screen and the surrounding scenic design without overwhelming the room. At the same time, the finished platform needed clear audience-facing curves, convenient front access and a clean appearance suitable for a live business broadcast.

The project team therefore focused on four priorities:

• A distinctive circular form that would serve as the ceremony’s visual focal point.

• A two-level configuration that created depth while maintaining practical access to the presentation area.

• Adaptation to the venue layout, scenic screen, lighting positions and audience sightlines.

• Reliable manufacturing and coordinated delivery for an overseas installation schedule.

A Two-Tier Circular Stage Built Around the Event

The completed solution used a broad circular presentation platform raised above a lower curved tier. A centrally aligned staircase connected the audience level to the stage and supported the formal flow of the awards program. The smooth front radius created a balanced relationship with the wide LED screen, while the layered profile added depth for both in-room viewing and television coverage.

Rather than treating the stage as an isolated structure, the design allowed it to become part of the complete production environment. In the final setup, the curved stage edge was integrated with illuminated detailing, and the dark deck surface provided a neutral base for the event’s purple, blue and warm-toned lighting scheme.

Controlled Manufacturing and International Delivery

Jiangsu Shizhan Group coordinated the project from structural development through manufacturing and delivery. The company’s in-house capabilities cover processes including aluminum extrusion, robotic welding and finished-product inspection, enabling tighter control over custom components and production consistency.

For international event projects, this integrated workflow helps the engineering and production teams respond to non-standard geometry, venue limitations and installation requirements before the system leaves the factory. Shizhan Group’s product portfolio is supported by international certifications including CE, TÜV MARK, SGS and BV, while its research and development work is backed by more than 170 patents.

For this Marseille project, the result was a stage package prepared for overseas deployment and on-site completion in coordination with the local production team.

The Result

Once installed, the circular stage became the central architectural element of the Territoires Awards. Its layered form framed the presenters and guests, provided a clear route to the main platform and maintained a strong visual presence across wide and angled camera shots.

The project demonstrates how a custom stage system can be developed around the realities of a specific venue and production format. From the installation phase to the live broadcast, the structure supported the practical and visual demands of an international awards ceremony at one of Marseille’s best-known venues.
