Heavy Duty concert staging truss passed German TUV test

Jiangsu Shizhan Group Co., Ltd. is the largest stage truss manufacturer in China. Our main products include stage trusses, crowd control barriers, and scaffolding systems for all types of events. We operate both aluminum and steel workshops and employ a team of 150 skilled staff. With extensive experience in producing heavy-duty concert structures, Shizhan has proudly supported world tours for many internationally renowned artists.

The following is the third set of steel concert stage trusses custom-built for China’s top pop star Jay Chou. This stage setup will be used for his concert in Australia, scheduled for March 2024.

The entire structure is constructed from high-grade Q355B steel, with overall dimensions of 80 x 24.8 x 26.4 meters. To ensure safety and structural integrity, the top and rear sections of the stage are covered with black tarpaulin, and the structure underwent TÜV-certified weight load testing.

The weight testing was conducted in three phases:

Phase 1:

· Load: 62 units × 550 kg = 34,100 kg

· Duration: Load maintained for 15 minutes before proceeding to Phase 2

· All survey points were measured and displacements recorded

· Loading points indicated in yellow on Figure 1

Phase 2:

· Additional load: 62 units × 550 kg = 34,100 kg

· Total cumulative load: 68,200 kg

· Load maintained for 15 minutes before proceeding to Phase 3

· Survey and displacement measurements conducted

· Loading points indicated in blue on Figure 2

Phase 3:

· Additional load: 60 units × 550 kg = 33,000 kg

· Final total load: 101,200 kg

· Load maintained for 30 minutes before unloading

· Final survey measurements taken

· Loading points indicated in red on Figure 3

A total of 39 survey points were used for monitoring displacements, as shown in Figure 4.
